Standard, Silent Captured Spring or Hydraulic buffer?

Post by Vitaly »

I have experience with factory Heavy buffer, Armaspec Stealth Recoil Spring and Blitzkrig Hydraulic buffer. I find hydraulic buffer to soften recoil the best. Which one do you use and why?

I bought a JP SCS Gen 2 for my PCC. It is remarkably smoother and more silent. Initially I was unaware that the vendor send me a short stroked version, which prevents the bolt from being locked open. It did cycle a little faster, but I want the bolt to be able to be locked open, for example during unloaded starts. In combination with the Phase 5 Extended Bolt Release v3, you can gain time. So I took off just enough material from the JP buffer to be able to lock the bolt. Works like a charm :-)
