THE 10 OFFICIAL REASONS FOR RESHOOTS
(Based on the IPSC Handgun Rulebook, January 2019 Edition)

Hi folks,
As there seem to be many incorrect reasons given in order to justify appeals for reshoots, the following list, as authorised by the rulebook, might be useful:

1. MODIFIED COURSE OF FIRE: Depends on RM decision under Rule 2.3.3.1. or Rule 2.3.3.2.
2. RANGE EQUIPMENT FAILURE: Mandatory under Rule 4.6.2, Rule 9.1.5.2 & Rule 9.1.6.2
3. LOSS OF EYE OR EAR PROTECTION: Mandatory if Rule 5.4.3 applies
4. SUSPECTED SQUIB INCORRECTLY CALLED: Mandatory if Rule 5.7.6.2 applies.
5. INCORRECT START POSITION: Depends on RO decision under Rule 8.2.2
6. INTERFERENCE: Depends on RO decision under Rule 8.6.3 / Rule 8.6.4 / Rule 8.6.5 (or an Arbitration decision under Rule 11.6.2).
7. TARGET ISSUES: Depends on RO decision under Rule 9.1.3 or Rule 9.1.4 or Rule 9.1.4.1 or Rule 9.1.5.2 or Rule 9.1.6.2.
8. SCORESHEET ISSUES: Depends on RM decision under Rule 9.7.5 (also see Rule 9.7.7)
9. FAULTY TIMER: Depends on RO decision under Rule 9.10.1 or an Arbitration decision under Rule 9.10.2
10. CALIBRATION ISSUES: See Appendix C1, Points 6(c), 6(d) and 7(b).
Special Note: See Rule 9.7.7.1 (Reshoot always prevails).
